ChessV is an open-source Universal Chess program with graphical user-interface, sophisticated AI, support for opening books, and other features of traditional Chess programs. Currently, over 50 chess variants are supported. As a Universal Chess program, ChessV is designed to be able to play not just a single game, or a small number of games, but any game that is reasonably similar to Chess. ChessV is one of a very small number of such programs that exist.
